Always pitching. Always landing. Publicity for authors, brands and voices in books, media, politics and more.

WHERE WE LAND

Merritt is a family name.

THE NAME ON THE DOOR

My grandmother, Jean Merritt, was a high school teacher, “Ms. Jean” on Romper Room, a copywriter for a book publisher, head of social services for the state of Indiana, a Reagan delegate and a candidate for office herself. She read three newspapers a day until she was 95.

Decades later, the people she mentored still credit her with setting the direction of their careers and teaching them how to hold an audience.

She lived in books, media and politics, and that’s who we represent today. We work the way she did: believe in people, then get their story heard.

Before PR, I spent ten years on the road as a touring musician. I still pitch like I’m booking the next show.

THE TRACK RECORD

Merritt PR is led by Kelsey Merritt, who founded and led a Nashville boutique PR firm and was previously PR and Marketing Director at a major book publisher. She has run roughly 75 book campaigns and landed clients on Fox News, C-SPAN and MSNBC, and in TIME, the Washington Post, the New York Post, Fox News Digital, USA Today, the LA Times and the Daily Mail.

Every campaign is run in-house by the Merritt team and backed by a trusted network of PR professionals, from radio tour bookers to influencer specialists. You get the focus of a boutique with the reach of a much bigger firm.
